MONKEY GLAND STEAK 1kg Rump steak Marinade - 3 Tbl Vinegar, 6 Tbl Tomato sauce, 7 Tbl Mrs
Balls Chutney, 2 grated Onions, 3 Tbl Worcestershire sauce Mix marinade ingredients, place steak in the marinade for at
least 4 hours. Grill steak, heat up marinade and cook well, serve over
steak. MEALIE BREAD 2 Eggs, 400g tin Creamed Sweetcorn, 100g Grated Cheese, 250
ml Flour, pinch of salt, 125 ml Milk, 250 ml Mealie Meal, 15 ml Baking
Powder Beat eggs and milk, add cheese and sweetcorn ,then gradually
add dry ingredients. Pour into oiled loaf pan and bake at 185C for 40-45 mins.
Serve hot with butter at your next braai. PEPPERMINT CARAMEL
TART 1 tin caramel condensed milk, 250 ml whipped cream, 1
peppermint crisp, 1 packet Tennis Biscuits Put condensed caramel milk in bowl and stir well. Fold in
the whipped cream and half a Peppermint Crisp (grated). Layer whole Tennis
Biscuits in a square dish, alternating with a layer of cream mixture until the
biscuits are used up, ending with a cream layer. Place in fridge until set
(about half an hour). Grate remaining Peppermint Crisp on top just before
serving. SAMOOSAS Filling 500g minced beef, 2 tablespoons oil, 5 cloves garlic, 2
green chillies, 5ml masala, 5ml curry powder or more to taste, small chopped
onion, 1 tablespoon lime juice, 1 tablespoon chopped coriander & 1
tablespoon finely chopped ginger Heat oil, cook mince until browned add other ingredients and
cook 5 mins. Let mixture cool down.Open a packet of spring roll pastry, thaw
slightly. Cut each piece into 3 equal strips. take one strip and place 1-2 tsp
of mince mixture in corner.Fold oppposite corner over and continue folding along
strip in opposite directions so that a triangular shape is achieved. Make a
paste of a couple of tablespoons of flour and water and seal final layer.
